Thanks everyone read my thread of cam locks yesterday.

It is 1996 Jayco 1406, the lock is Decker 1042. I bought a key for it, but not working. The key functioned only twice as I tried hundred times. And the lock is very hard to be locked from inside. I decide to replace it.

Decker 1042 is very expensive, as it is a vantage part. And I feel it is hard to lock from inside. Anyone has the experience with this lock? May I replace it with another type of rv lock? Or a screen door lock?
    Thank you!

If you want to try and keep the Decker, try picking up a can of Lock-Eze graphite spray and lube the lock mechanism. It may take a few applications, but it works well for gummed up locks. You can find it at most auto parts and hardware stores.
