Replacing plastic door locks

I have a 2004 Jayco HW. The plastic turn locks are riveted into the door frame. I need to replace one. I have the locks, but don’t know how to remove the current lock riveted in and replace it without damaging the door. Help please!

The rivet head will have to be carefully drilled out .....usually a 1/4 inch drill bit will do that to remove the rivet head and plastic turn lock. The problem is how to fasten the new lock (the old rivet hole maybe too big) ...... I suggest just drilling a new smaller hole nearby.

Thank you! The one that is breaking is the one that hooks into the brace bracket while stored so we don’t have too much wiggle room for placement. Also need help on what to use to secure the new turn lock since a rivet doesn’t seem to be an option.

Try a plastic drywall anchor .........used for mounting things in the house to the walls ........ but you will have to cut them shorter because the camper mounting area will be thinner and then just use a sheet metal screw.
