Today we lost a family member in our beloved Rufus. We rescued Rufus 6 1/2 years ago and he has been our camping buddy ever since. Anytime you mentioned camping his head would tilt and he'd get excited. His trademark move camping will always be finding the picnic table and laying on it, even if we had everything all set on it lol. Tonight i raise a drink to my best friend and buddy forever. I love you Rufus.

So sorry for your loss. Been threw it a few time before so know exactly how your feeling. They are so much a part of our family and it hurts, but we are given some wonderful, funny, loving memories that last a lifetime.

Thanks for all the thoughts, sympathy, and kind words in this difficult time. He will always be in our hearts. We have also decided to have him cremated. We also ordered a necklace with will contain a portion of his ashes so he is with us every time we go camping. Thanks again.

I feel for you, we recently lost a furry member of our family too, they are here for such a short while to give us their love, attention and then they are gone but not forgotten. Our other outside fur baby was lost without her play (and watch) mate, Sadie did not eat for 9 days, just moped around, We called the local animal control and thy had a 8 moo old that resembled Belle except larger (German Sheppard ) that was mis-treated for 8 years, tied to the front porch with a logging chain and used as a puppy mill. The two get along fine except that Simy has no idea what a dog house use is, as she had never seen one before. Hopefully our past fur babies will be there at the bridge one day and we can re-unite with them
