I like this a lot.
Interesting find. Here is a DIY version.
I just saw one of these on a van. It looked interesting but I see a couple of disadvantages. At first it seemed like a great idea, but you have to be able to pressurize it. and it is limited on the amount of water it carries. It looks like it would be good for rinsing off after surfing.
All I saw was a shot of showering bikini Babe
I ordered 3. What are they?
It's perfect for Ragbrai (bike across Iowa).
Disclaimer: I am terrible at math.. It should take roughly an 18.35" piece of 4" PVC to hold a gallon of water. So, a 10' piece of 4" PVC pipe will hold app. 6.5 gallons of water.
Some people save their money and use a regular pump/pressure sprayer.
Paint it black, sit in sun, pump up some pressure, and wash off that dirt.
I've using one of these for years...
Come back from a long run and wash off w gravity pressure.
Did on the rollup Coleman bag ... had it for years and STILL works GREAT . No leaks after all its been thru and heats up REAL nice and rolls up nice and compact for easy storage when not in use . No need to have that large chunk of PVC around and then having to worry about pressurizing it either .
$300 is way to much for that. I'll bet you could make it for under $50.
We used a Zodi while car camping for years. They run off a 12 DC and propane canister. There's a coil of copper tubing that the burning propane heats and a DC pump that circulates the water from a bucket, through the coils and back into the bucket until it's warm enough for the shower. It's pressurized but just enough to function, it's not going to blast you clean. It was 187% better than no shower or a warm washcloth. The new RV has an outdoor shower which works much better.
More trucker station has paid shower service, I have used them during my motorcycle trips .I usually camp outside in a quiet area or rest area and then hit the road.
I can see the need/use for this product, it looks very well made. I think it would be a great product for a cyclist to spray off their Mountain bike after trail riding or at the beach/sporting event to spray off the kids, before letting them climb into the car.
We use the Zodi Extreme SC Shower. I like it because you can get a pressurized hot shower and its portable.
Available at ORCCGEAR.com
I don't think bikini babe comes with it...
BEST POST EVER!^
A lot of overlanders us the Road Shower. I done some macgyvering on our Zodi hot shower camping system. Got rid of the original 6v. pump (4 D battery) set up & went with a 12v. pump so it can plug into my tongue box 12v. outlets. The electrical cord for the 12v.pump that plugs into the tongue box outlets is now 15ft long. I added longer water line to shower head that is 12 ft. in stead of the standard 7ft hose. I also order a new 1 lb propane bottle base instead of using the lid as the base like it was designed, this way I can keep the lid on the container (which is a water holding vessle). Everything still fits into the original container too.
