Hi all, At the top of each of my lift poles, they sit in a nook that has two threaded posts. Not all of the posts have nuts on them, and the ones that do are smaller than the opening and there are no washers, so the roof is not secured other than by the tenting. I have included a picture for reference. I got some nylon nuts to replace the missing nuts. Should there be washers in there also to secure the roof more? Thanks!
I'm fairly new to PUPs but I don't see how washers could hurt. I just posted a question in the same area. The nuts on the bolts that hold lift poles (arms) to the roof of the camper are loose. Some more than others. This allows the roof to move some when the corners are at the exact same height. But I don't know if that's correct or just an accident. No replies yet and I don't know whether to tighten them down or not.
Mine are also in varying states of tightness and I'm not sure if I should tighten them. I assume that there should be some level of flexibility, but I'm not sure how much.
