All I can say is WOW! If all of the state parks in SC are this nice, I will be spending quite a bit more time in SC! The campground is small (only 17 sites) but there wasn't a bad one in the place. The grounds were well maintained and the bath house was SPOTLESS! The staff was friendly, but the best part was the lake! Kayaking among the cypress trees was AMAZING! A doe actually jumped off the bank, into the lake and swam not 10 feet in front of my kayak! I can't wait for the next trip!

I stay there while volunteering for the Sandblast Rally. Very convenient and quiet.

Sounds like y'all have been busy camping and found a couple of really nice camp grounds. That always make a trip more enjoyable. Thanks for sharing.
Good Luck and Keep on Camping

It's an thread, but it's still a nice park. It's one of my brothers favorites, he lives close to it.

I'm sure it was, but I don't remember it. I do remember camping at the White Water Falls parking area. You can't do that now and have to pay to just park. The only thing at the lake was a boat ramp and parking lot (camped there too). Still beautiful area, but too crowded for me.
