I picked up a pair of outdoor wireless speakers, a ladder golf game, and a whole lot of tupperware at the Goodwill this morning - all for $12. They also had a great selection of coffee makers, toaster-ovens, etc.... for just $5 each. So... if you're looking to outfit your rig, a thrift store might be a great place to start. You'll save money and whatever you DO spend helps a worthy cause.

Great find - I haven't been finding anything of use lately, but things appear in the thrift stores and estate sales now and again.

I'm a big fan of thrift stores in general and bought most of my camping items from them.

I've also found expensive clothing items (White House/Black Market, Cache, etc.) with the tags still on them!

I love the challenge of finding a bargain!

Darn it ! How are you people finding all these kick butt deals. [?] [?:~{] [?]

There was a Thread started the other day IIRC, where some folks were finding great deals at yard sales on things like Coleman stoves and other camping gear............ I can NEVER find cool stuff like that here at the Good Will or Garage / Yard Sales. [V] [:(] lol

I think the secret is to go to thrift stores regularly and have an open mind when you go in. I've found great bargains on stuff I wanted and stuff I didn't know I wanted. [:D]

My Mother-In-Law found the deal of all deals about 3 years ago. She picked up a Dorm Fridge at a Garage sale for $15. We're still using it and it's cold and stocked as we speak. Waiting for Friday afternoon to take to the campground for a long Holiday weekend!

If you have a college near by cruise the streets this time of year. You would be amazed at what the kids leave on the curb. Have scored 2 dorm fridges, 2 toaster ovens and several microwaves all for free over the past couple of years!!!

I LOVE thrift stores!!! Been perusing my local Goodwill for some camper bedding and got some cheap sheets last week. We washed and bleached them and they turned out pretty nice!

I love to go sailing, yard sailing that is. I cant begin to list the things I have found. Last weeks find was very simple but very useful. I scored two gallon sized baggies full..... one was full of hotel hand soaps and the other was full of hotel shampoos, conditioners and mouthwashes. Got both bags for 25 cents a piece. These supplies will come in very handy for camping with my 4 grandsons. They can each have their own soap and shampoo when they go into the campground showers and if they forget it, no big deal. Sometimes the smallest things make me happy.

Oh, I hear you about the little soaps and shampoos. My six-year old girl LOVES those. She uses them to wash her "babies" when she's in the tub. :)

Now that we have a camper, I have packed away a few of them in our supplies. They do come in handy.

Best score was 2 leather bomber jackets for a grand total of $25. Anytime I have some extra time, I try to hit Goodwill, Salvation Army, and the Habitat for Humanity Resale Store. Being a welder, I'm not buying brand new jeans just to have them burn up, so all my work clothes come from Thrift Stores.
