I bought the 18v Ryobi impact driver for my stabs. DS won't always be going with me. He'll be going to college in 3 years.

With that drill, it is literally seconds to put the stabs down.

Now Pam, how many times have I seen you reply to someone "pics or it didn't happen"???

    :) :) ;)

The Retro has now been on one trip, 3300 miles or so. Driving it is more nerve-wracking than the pup, and the TV drank gas, but having the inside space just ready to walk into at the end of a (too) long day of driving was wonderful.
This is the only campsite we had during that trip that required backing in, though we had it twice, going east and west. This is the parking job I did on my 6th or 8th try, parking it in the dark, rain and the site turns out to be one of the more challenging in the campground, according to the host:

I was the only camper that night in that loop, and there were no lights, so trying to figure out where I was backing up was interesting.

I short of cheated at my MIL's house. I was going to turn the Retro around, but realized it was a good placement, with the door on the house side, when I just drove it in.

This is the bed end, which is at the back of the trailer:

One mod we have to do over the winter is make dividers for the 3 doors over the bed; that is actually one wide space.
I will be making a new quilt, the one in this pic was for the Cobalt's full bed, so is not wide enough for 2 sleepers. Also, new curtains, lined, cobalt blue; these are an outdoor canvas fabric. We aren't too crazy about the way these hang nor the way lights sort of flash through the stripes. That's not always an issue, but we did notice it at times in my MIL's side yard with traffic on the road, and know a few campsites it would matter.
This is the dinette of the one I saw on the dealer's lot; the rock shield over the table window is not open.[IMG]dinette by kitphantom, on Flickr
The Retro is very light inside, with 5 windows and translucent vents. Even with the Maxxair covers we've added, there is still nice light from the vents.

    Just brought it home today!
2005 Coachman "Spirit of America" 248tbg

One owner according to the title. It came with a Power of Attorney slip with the same last name, so I am thinking an eldery couple who passed away and this was part of the estate. It's immaculate inside and the color combo isn't the earlier S.O.A. model's "Fife and Drum / Early American Eagle" motif.

Here is looking rearward to the master bedroom.

And then forward the closet, then bunks on the right. To the left is a double door fridge/freezer, 3 burner stove with hood, oven, and microwave.

And behind that door in the center is the reason we started looking for our next camper in the first place.

For a 26' LOA this bugger seems HUGE compared to the P'up. Especially when backing in to it's spot.

We have it set up at permanent spot at Christina Lake, BC. Nice not to have to set up or down...basically like having a cabin! Will be planting grass in the spring, building a roof to go over the deck, and getting a new fire ring (isn't it hideous?). I think we will have to get a smaller TT though 'cause I still want to go camping other places. Just have to convince the DH!!

Moved to the dark side with a new White water Retro 177 SE. Needed a little more security for the dogs. Shouldn't get out the sides now!

Congrats. We still love our Retro 177. I haven't actually seen the interior on the SE versions, though have seen pics on the FB owners page. (White Water Retro Trailer Owners)

Well, what was going to be a hybrid search turned into a full hard-sided TT search.

Found and purchased one week ago, presenting our new-to-us 2006 K-Z Frontier 2405! 25 feet with queen rear slide and couch slide. Very similar to the Keystone Outback line of TT.

It's first trip was this past weekend to Calaveras Big Trees. I do miss the filtered light and easy tow of our PU, but there are many perks to the TT as well (DW lists bathroom as #1).
