I have an Anderson hitch and love it. Simple and quiet.
After you use it for awhile you will see how easy it is.

We did buy new. 2017. We've had it ever since. This will be our 4th camping season. Usually there are only 2 of us unless we have one of the grands with us. We have had 3 adults and 2 kids for a weekend and it did get tight. I throw everyone out:p if I am cooking indoors to keep traffic down. We use the TT for a base of operations while we go to hike, sight see or ride bicycles so usually we are outside. When its just the 2 of us we have no issue with space. We really do love it. We were looking for a basic TT, nothing fancy. We have camped all over NE, KS, SD and Iowa with few issues. Roof began to peel back at the front seam but was easily fixed. The only other issue was with the GFC in the bathroom...we lost some of the lights and we had to replace it because it would not reset. Other than that it has been worry free.

We purchased a 2018 Jayco Jayflight SLX8 212qb. Brought her home a couple weeks ago. We were planning on buying in a year or two, but I found this great deal on the exact model we wanted. So we did it. The previous owner bought new two years ago, but you can not tell that it was ever used. Everything is immaculate and like-new. And it came with the WDHitch, the winter cover, the hoses, 3 packages of lynx levelers, and a few more items that we will not have to buy. Win! We will be taking her out for a shakedown this weekend. I know I'll miss the popup for some things, including the memories, but the set-up and take-down were just becoming too much of an obstacle. In the new one we have a walk-around bed, a couch, a fridge with a freezer, an oven, a bathroom and solid walls. The extensive windows in the living area were a big seller for us.

Drove 7hrs each way to find this. It's a 2007 Cherokee Wolfpack by Forest River. Got it for a decent price and was surprised to find a 30gal fuel tank and pump. My V10 really has to work to keep 70mph, especially with a head wind. Have plans to build a custom rack to hold my SUP and kayak at an angle for better wind deflection up front. Almost identical to ours. We love it! Just right for the two of us and the occasional grand child :). It took us a bit to get it dialed in. We have added a few things, like a box on the tongue for the hitch, leveling and stabilization equipment and a PVC with caps for the carpet. Takes about 20 min to set up. We have camped all over now 5 states without major issue since we bought it in 2017. We did put tires on it this month. 20190511_154326.jpg 20200710_180437.jpg 20200522_100659.jpg We are very happy with it.

We bought a PUP in December 2019 thinking we'd take it on a cross country trip in May. We all know what happened to those plans, courtesy of Covid. But we did get in two local trips, and quickly learned these senior bodies are too worn out to handle set up and take down of a PUP. What to do? Then I discovered there are lightweight TTs out there. So we sold the PUP and started looking. It had to have a walk-around bed, a couch instead of dinette, and a shower instead of tub. On a quick trip to Maine in September, we found this little gem, a 2014 Sportsmen Classic by KZ. It doesn't have a couch, but the dinette is small enough that we can set it up as a bed and with the addition of a back cushion (have materials, will sew) it works great as a couch. It's the perfect size for a "couples camper" - and their 4-legged pup. And it has the same GVWR, 3,500#, as the PUP.

Word of advise. If you are going to using it as a couch build a couple little 2x4 frames to put under the table top when its down. Some one sitting in that spot will put a lot of pressure on the thin little pieces of wood the table top sits on. I did not trust those things so I built little frames that just slide in under the table top. We use them when someone sleeps on it and the thing is now solid as a rock.

I have a question on used 5th wheels, I'm looking at buying at least a 30ft to live in for the winter in Arizona. What are the best brands, I've never owned a trailer, just my rockwood pop up. Any advise is greatly appreciated, I'll be leaving it down there year round, and would prefer to purchase there as well.
    Thanks in Advance

It all depends on whats avaliable at what price and what condition. Same stuff applies to checking a pup and a 5th wheel. Make sure you check them out well. And understand how many tanks they have and what it means to dump them. Will it be stationary? Or will you be traveling in it? Some have ovens and some have the convetion microwave thing. 2 ac, or 1 , will be another question. If its hot you may need want 2 acs.

I'm just asking for the brands that are highly rated, or if anyone has experience with certain brands to stay away from. It will not be moved
