Out of all of my travel trailers the hybrid was my favorite. Best of both worlds if you have the towing capacity.

I really want a hybrid. Need to investigate them more. But I can barely get the 12' Coleman backed into the driveway as it is. I've gotten really good at getting it in there, but just not sure we can do a bigger trailer.

A tandem axle trailer is much easier to back up, compared to a single axle popup.
Now, length and width could be a concern. But I easily parked my 24'+ hybrid in our average sized driveway.

Parking it is a matter of angle. Driveway is narrow and the street is narrow. So getting the whole setup turned to get it into the driveway is pretty tight. Same thing when parked in a small lot across the street. As for tandem or single, I'd prefer single just for leveling purposes and for an overall lighter trailer, but tandem is certainly a better setup overall. Easier backing, less porpoising on the highway, 4 brakes over two...

Did you end up getting a Hybrid? They have 19' models that may still fit!
We have the same "issue" so we are limiting ourselves to a 21' camper until we determine how well we can get it around the side of our house.

Nothing yet. We have done very little camping the past few years so it's hard to justify. I still look around here and there in case I find a crazy deal. For sure it would make more sense to get one, rather than the time and money to get the pup back up to snuff. But, the pup is here and paid for.

We got to the point where we were tired of repairing our pup- and we had to drag so much stuff with us, it was easier to tent camp...except the ants always get in our tent at night!
    You'll find something!

It does feel that way sometimes. This all started because I was looking for a utility trailer that we could just leave all the tent gear packed in. I quickly realized utility trailers cost as much as a pup. No regrets. It's been great. I think we've had a pup for about 8 years now. Beds are super comfy, it's great to be up off the ground etc etc.

I'm pretty convinced a hybrid is the right move for us, but it has to be a hybrid, not a TT. My favorite part of the pup is the beds. I don't want to give up that tent feel.
