Bought it sight-unseen the day before this trip. Let's just say that it didn't stay in this condition for long.....

Love the old Stingrays. I don't know if he's still around, but we used to have an old guy named Shadetree, here in Tucson that had a warehouse full of old vintage bikes and parts that he collected and restores. He had some beauties the last time we were there, and yours would rank right up there with his best.

    I've got a new low-rider.

    USKUSTOMS,
This was on American Pickers last year! It was restored on the show, I think top speed was 7mph
I willtry to find it if your interested. How much do they want for it? As I remember it was expensive to repair. Does the motor turn over? If you can get it running it will go most anywhere with front and rear drive. As I remember they had a problem with trans between front and rear.
Let me knowand I will try to get show number for you.

    Finally got it!
29" wheels roll over everything and makes uphill acceleration soooo easy.
Carbon frame is sooooo light. XT build makes shifting and braking soooo smooth. Put some Ergonomic grips on it which eliminate all the hand numbness.

Inaugural ride was a 10 mile trail that I ride all the time, but never at that speed.

Going to Sun Valley in the morning for our last camping trip of the year. Can't wait to ride the buttah smoove trails there!

We took the Pup down to Amado, Arizona, this weekend for the local bike club's annual Tumacacori ride on Sunday. My wife did the 33 mile option, and I rode the 72 mile option. On Saturday, we rode the trikes over to the Cow Palace for lunch (awesome burgers), and then went out for a little trike-geocaching later that afternoon. All in all, a fun weekend away.

You sure gotta love each other a lot to want to put that much trust in each other. I don't have that in my wife lol. The trails I ride she wouldnt even look at.

Here is mine. A 2016 giant talon 27.5". Talon 4 model. I'm just a beginner but not afraid to hit the hard trails. I went over bars about 5 times on Thursday. Haha.

    Hi Winchested,

Yes, she does trust me. We rode the road tandem for years. Got into the off road about 3 years ago and love it. She is not a strong rider so this keeps us together and she does not get dropped. We plan our vacations around riding lately. 2 years ago we rode the famous 401 in Crested Butte Colorado. This past June we traveled to North Carolina and rode many trails in Dupont and Tsali.

Tandeming is not for everyone....but for those of us that do it, we love it. There are many road tandem rallies around the country but only a few off road. AORTA is a great rally. Alex Knutt at mtbtandems.com is a guru about off road tandeming. If you are ever around the North Atlanta area stop by and take a test ride on one. He has a trail system behind his shop.

As they say, no matter which direction your relationship is headed, a tandem will get you there twice as fast!
