Where can I get 2 of these side rails for my 2000 Thor Skamper Vision M-25GL? They are 48 1/2” x 1 1/2”.

You say side rails but I can't picture where these would go. You have additional photos, perhaps with the ones you have installed?

When you raise the top of your camper these bars might be safety bars that prevent the top from crashing down if the cable breaks. They fit over the bars that raise the camper.

No they cover the 4 post that raise the camper when you crank it up.

Many make them out of PVC pipe.

I don’t think we are speaking of the same thing. I’ve seen pvc used in securing the bump out beds but not for covering the square lifts that raise and lower the roof.

They dont have to cover the lifts , just keep the roof up. The roof dosen't care if the side lift peices are covered or not! [:D]

I thought they were necessary to hold up the roof if it started to fall.

Yes, but they dont have to go around the posts. They have to just go into the space between the roof and the boady. Just put them next to the posts. Or cut a channel in a peice of pvc. Or get a 2x4. Or a peice of pipe.

You only need 2. Put them in alternate corners, 0ne front, the other back, opposite side.

Thank you for the info. This website is really great for information. I’m learning a lot about pop ups.

That’s exactly what I was doing! Thank you for confirming I was doing it correctly. Do the pop ups only come with 2??

Yes, only two are included. If you need to replace you can use 2x4 or PVC pipe as mentioned above, or you can buy metal replacements here (they call them safety posts on the diagram): https://goshenstamping.com/lift-system

These ARE definitely the 'safety' support bars that slip over 2 of the 4 lift posts after fully extended. Skampers only shipped with TWO; place them in opposite/diagonal corners. Do you have none...or were you thinking you needed 4?

When I only saw 2. I thought the other 2 were lost. I previously thought you needed 4 to be safe.
