Skamper Owners Sound Off!

    Frankly I would want the battery outside the camper. They sometimes leak acid and the fumes under some conditions can explode. Thats why they are outside on the hitch in the open air. Some campers have a side access panel door with vents that opens to the outside and the battery is in it. Before you get all upset at what I said, I was a Air Craft Electrician in the USAF and we learned the Right way to maintain batteries.

    I just purchased a 92 170x. I am looking for a manual for the vinyl care and instructions on how to care for lift system. Thanks

    Can anyone advise about the "payload" of a 1989 170x Skamper? I'm thinking about doing some kind of buildout on the frame and curious about what its capacity might be. Any insight would be great!

    New (to me) 1992 Skamper 240C owner here. I am looking for owner manuals for my camper if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Only one I have been able to locate is the one for the fridge so far. Looking for one about the cassette toilet and the hot water tank still. And if there is one on the lift system that would be helpful too.
