Oh yes, the site. Sorry Lou! The two of us, and Sienna our dog, will be on site H213, although we may consider the open first come first serve sites (if any are available) upon arrival. Can't wait!
We'll have to discuss the our pot luck item and see what we can add to the mix.

Good! Brian, MK, & Sienna will be joining us! Hopefully it won't be as hot as it was the last time we saw you at Lackawanna :)

I am sad to announce our family will not be attending the rally as planned. My husband will be deploying for the summer and he is the only person qualified to tow the camper. My goal for the summer is to learn how to tow it myself and continue to camp with the kids.

Very sorry you can't make it.
I'm sure along with many others members here, we will pray for your DH to have a safe deployment and return home asap.

Hey Carl, if you go up Big Meadows can you get pics of E180 and also the view from it. Annette hasn't been there yet and I wanted to show her the site.
    Thanks!

    Just 5 weeks away!

We will have to come next year. We camp every 4th of July at Loft Mountain right down Skyline Dr. We wont get there until the 1st this year. It will be our first PUP trip with our new camper. I love Loft Mountain and the whole area there. Hope everyone has fun and maybe we can make it next time.

If you go to my pictures site, I have posted pics of all the sites listed on page 1.

Sorry, Chris. I had left by the time you posted. I am glad that you are not going to be on E181....I really don't think a PUP will fit on that site....very short driveway - barely enough room for a car. E180 is a great semi-circular pull through...the Appalachian Trail is ten feet from E180. You can sort of see the view in the pic showing E183.

Mr & Mrs. H: There is no site number B210 - I took a picture of G210 just in case (G210 is the only site with the number 210).

    Campsite photos

Thanks for the photo Carl - since we back up to the AT, I was thinking about bringing some trail magic. Our friend who is hiking should be in PA/NJ by then, but she and the other hikers love it.

Ok... this is a food question but not related to the pot luck... so...

What is everyone planning to do with their food and such at camp. I have read that bears will tear open cars to gt at food they can identify (see) and park regulations SEEM to say you must keep everything related to food in your tv? How are you supposed to do that if you have a cooler/fridge IN your camper? I sure don't want my car ripped up... and other campers I know have camped in bear country and said it is common for bears to do thousands of dollars in damage to vehicles just LOOKING for food... when there was none present. (not even a kid fry behind the seat!) I have looked into bear safes and found them to be cost INSANE... and size "way the hell too small" is supposed to hold food for a week... come to find out they are talking about those freeze dried camp meals... I have a kitchen... plan to COOK! We will be there for the full week with three children...

    Ideas?
