So, what did you do for your camper, July 2014?

Well just picked up my trailer on Thursday and took it out Saturday. I was confident it didn't leak because it had been up when we had our week of rain that flooded much of the province and it was still dry. I planned to purchase before the rain week, so I knew how it was before and after. I didn't do much other than clean it all out, BUT I did discover some built in speakers and a cord tucked away so I could plug in my ipod and listen to music! Was a good first outing, but I have so many things planned after joining this forum. :)

I have it camping in Colorado. Discovered that the roof lift system needs adjustment. There is about a quarter difference between front and back of the roof. The higher side is almost 1/2" below the correct height. I was afraid the door would've go in, but after walking away for a few minues, it just barely did.
So, called the dealer and made an appointment for next Monday, which was as soon as they had an opening. They are supposed to have it done two days before we leave on the next trip, which includes the CO Rally. At least this dealer has always finished ahead of their estimates.

A bad day camping beats a good day at the office
As I mentioned in another thread a week or two ago, we got our "missing" key from Palomino and confirmed it fit our lock. I then had a second copy made at Lowes yesterday so we'd have a spare. Either tomorrow or Wednesday I'll pick up the pup from its offsite home so we can prep it for our trip to Lebanon Hills this weekend. Will be excited to see if the new bunk fans help with the hot muggy weather... no AC here! :)

vagov, I work in an electrical manufacturing plant and I don't know what the parts are or what they are called. But I do have 2 extra pieces that I can ship to you for that cost.

HA, sat in DMV Florida for 2 hours for it!!!! Fl doesn't require ins. on trailers or towed campers. I had ins on mine last year due to others towing it and temporary storage not at home. Cancelled and got suspension of license letter [?:~{] The folks at my DMV knew it was a mistake. There is no steering wheel or engine, there's only 2 wheels, it is not a vehicle. They argued with Tallahassee and stated laws and statues and were put on hold....The letter I got was dated June 30th and I had 10 days to fax/mail them. My license was suspended on the 30th....They finally got my license reinstated. No Fee [LOL] The letter said $150 fee. They messed up. NEED to go Camping. [8D]

I performed a tail light delete on the PUP. I will relocate them to the basket that mounts on the rear bumper. I worked too hard replacing the wood in the rear to let it rot again because of my cracked tail light housings. Besides with my a/c mounted on the tongue, I might as well balance it out with s/s screws (29 on each side)! I've also been caulking and reassembling the interior since the floor repairs. Oh, and in June I did a spring over axle conversion to bring the tongue a little closer to my hitch. Its about right now. I took a ton of photos I just haven't had time to type up all the details.

Sorry to say nothing. PUP just sitting in the garage taking up space until July 17th when it will be towed about 2,400 miles to NJGuy's homeland of New Jersey until we can locate a new home in, likely, Delaware.

Working on new to me pup. Replaced wheels and tires that were on pup, replaced broken taillight, put in some new goodies( found a pair of clearence priced "solo cups with lids"). Not much of a booze drinker, but every now and then a Southern Comfort sweet old fashioned tastes really good! Leaving Thursday morning with both pups for a guys weekend at Iola car show and swapmeet. Then old pup is getting advertised for sale. Going to miss it,almost like an old friend!

To avoid the frustration of having to undo the strap that keeps the battery box lid secure every time I wanted to connect or disconnect the battery leads I finally ecided to install a battery kill switch. I saw some of those suggested by others on the forum and found a similar device on eBay for $6.00 I was concerned with parasitic drain, but more so with my little ones and other neighborhood tykes (not garage kept) discovering they could turn on the exterior light and/or discovering the switch that raises and lowers the electric roof winch. So after a trip to the hardware store I got what I needed and now it's done.

She's back on the driveway from off-site storage for the first time in a month. I might see if I can rig up a quick fridge fan baffle mod tonight, otherwise we take her out camping again tomorrow. It was nice having my digital voltage meter now (installed it after our last trip) so I could see how the battery was doing after sitting for a month (don't have access to power at the storage site). We'll have electric hookups this time anyway but the battery was fine.

Put new wiring and taillights on and repaired side markers. The new faucet looks great. Doing another local camping weekend again this weekend.
