We went camping ..
I don't care who you are, that's funny right there.
took it out for the last trip of the year than winterized it
That comes in two weeks ... I'll post about that when it happens...
I'm in between places moving and in the process of re-locating to Ohio. So... I winterized and put her to bed.
If you could video set-up that would be awesome! We just got a 1989 Palomino and have not set it up yet. Working on some rotting and replacing an arm first.
So far this month I have bought a Thetford Curve potty and went camping last weekend. Now I need to have my new stabilizers welded on, then start some cabinet mods. Plus try and get another trip in by the end of the month.
Installed the new CB last night! The old was was fine, just liked the newer model LOL
It's great to use when friends are following, or even to communicate with the CB handheld that stays in the camper... When someone ventures off to the bathrooms, office, or campstore
Opened her up. Took out all the food stuff and anything that would freeze. Took the battery off. Closed her up and said our goodbyes til next Spring.
Closed it up from last weekends Camp Backyard.
Bought all needed supplies to put together the shelf mod tomorrow. So looking forward to having things we use often in an easily accessible place that is not on the counter top!
When out to the backyard checked on it and told it I was sorry for not having a nice dry and warm garage or just a dry pole barn to put it in.
winterized (learned how to) took out my cushions (no treats for the uninvited) bought a cover on line adco from camping world , free shipping and the bal leveler and a collapsible collander and mugs, i think i am ready!!
My Sept - Oct Summary
A couple of months ago I install a Maxx Air Roof Vent, but I found a used A/C unit on Craigslist and installed it.
Added a grille to protect the condensor fins.
I am not crazy about radios in PUPs ..... I got a DVD Player for my birthday.
Mounted rubber antenna, speakers and radio/player in the upper galley
Added a switch for the furnace (can leave the thermostat on/off ON)
Wired LED bulb into dome and porch light. These LED get very hot on back and would melt the glue/tape holding them in.
Shortened bunk light wires ....
New electric tongue jack ......
Hoping to get out one more time, but have my "Coleman Happy Camper" cover on it for now.
Put the solar charger on the battery for a quick boost over the weekend.
Replaced the fried Elixir-20 with a wf-8945 power converter. the elixir fried the incoming hot line. the wf has a main breaker, that will hopefully keep this from ever happening again. Upon opening up the elixir, i found the problem, a corroded bolt holding the hot a/c wire from shore power to the circuit breaker bar. Fairly easy replacement job. To make sure I connected everything back the way they were, i simply labeled each incoming wire and took a picture of it all, before I disconnected everything. All in all about a 3 hour job, since i rechecked everything a few times before applying power.
That elixir frying itself was fairly worrisome. Hopefully that doesn't ever happen with the wf.
Mowed and pulled weeds to pop up and clean, pack
Did this mod...
My honey repaired the tent track that was pulling out of the roof above the bunk ends and went ahead and firmed up the other side as a preventative measure, also installed the shelf mod and I finally put all the recovered cushions back in. Last thing was to restock and prep for our 4 day trip next weekend where we'll take my mother with us for the first time. The inside looks completely different and really good with the new cushion covers and valances. Can't wait to get those curtains done over the next couple of months.
New shelves for us, same ol', same ol' for most of you folks. Of course I forgot to take pics of the cushions. Oh well, next weekend.
I put sand pads on my stabilizers and a dirt protector on my BAL.
