Hello Minnesota campers!

I was just wondering if you've made plans to camp, and if so - where are you going in our great state?

Our family is going to Ft. Ridgely State Park for Memorial weekend (even though they have no showers-septic issue). Crow Wing the first weekend in June (small resort with only 2 campsites!) Camping in Richmond at a family members "yard" for 4th. of July, Lake Bemidji State Park mid-July, back to Crow Wing for Labor Day weekend. [:D]

Hoping to add a few including Glacial Lakes & Maplewood state parks and maybe even a trip to Two Rivers Campground (if we can get in down at the bottom of the campground). [;)]

How about you???

We just got back from a weekend in Sleepy Eye. I think this might be one of our new favorite campgrounds. $16 for electricity and lake is 100' from you and small and quiet - only 16 sites. We went down there to see Jason Gray in concert (free) at a benefit thing they were having in town. All very nice. Beautiful 5K paved path around the lake. We also camp up north at some forest service campgrounds up off of highway 1. Then we take a long trip out of state each year. Harder and harder to fit in dates due to all the kids activities.

Country Camping in Isanti on Memorial Day. Busy and load but we still had fun. Last weekend was Savanna State Park. Loved it! Plans for Two Harbors CG, Red Barn inShell Lake, WI and Northern Exposure in Chetek, WI. My all time favorite place is Tettegouche State Park.

We have camped at Cannon Falls campground and Hay Creek in Red Wing. We didn't care for Hay Creek this time because we were next to the county road-which was VERY noisy. They have a section not so close but there aren't many trees in that area. We took a drive through Shades of Sherwood...might try that once this year for the kiddo. I also would like to try Keislers in Waseca. We usually only do the weekend camping so we try to stay close...within an hour and a half of the twin cities.
