Hello I have had a 1992 Starcraft starflyer for 5years now and I am deciding to put some battery’s in but I he previous owner did not take good care of it so the battery connections were shredded and he had removed them. I need to know how to install the new wiring on my convert which is original
Ok first off you need to know what you want the battery to power and how many sockets/lights you need, then you need a fuse box(https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Sea-Systems-Blade-Block/dp/B001P6FTHC/ref=sr_1_2?crid=3A03JLYNK0T0E&dchild=1&keywords=12v+fuse+panel&qid=1594364645&sprefix=12v+f,aps,235&sr=8-2) and the correct gauge wire for the power you will use. For the outlets you can use (https://www.amazon.com/Cigarette-Li...let&qid=1594366087&sprefix=12v,aps,237&sr=8-8), hope that helps a little, and Welcome from Hampsire UK
If you go here: https://www.popupportal.com/resources/1993-starcraft-folding-camping-trailer-manual.99/ and download the owner's manual, there is a wiring diagram on the last page. There should be a black 10 ga wire coming from the 7 way plug going to the positive side of the battery. On the back of the converter, there should be a red wire. That will go to the positive side of the battery as well, with a fuse located close to the battery. The negative side of the battery will be connected to the frame of the camper. That may be a white wire if it's still there.
Well it already has a fusebox and i need it to power two household outlets. but there is no hook up for the batterys.
The battery will not power household outlets. That is done through the shore power cable. Do you have a shore power cable coming from the converter?
