    Hi there

I am looking for state park recommendations in Eastern New York. We live in CT, so a park in the Hudson valley would be preferred. Are there any parks that are good for families?

    Thanks!

    Dan

There's Mills Norie State park [{:)] in staatsburg. We've been there a couple of times, great walking trails that go along the Hudson river for beautiful scenery. It's a small simple park with great hikes.

Was there three years ago. Mixed feelings. Sites not the biggest for PUPS and not a lot of privacy between sites. Mostly tenters there. You can also hear the train as it approaches. It was a weekend in August when we were there. Wrote a review shortly after. Guess it depends on your expectations.

Have you been to North/South Lake Campground? It is bigger, has a nice park for kids, good hiking trails and a beach area. There are sites where you can set up right next to the lake. I haven't done a camping [PU] there yet but have done plenty of day trips with family.
