Looking for help. A camping friend has a Jayco TT with a Stereo/DVD player that sits on a shelf. He's had it for about five years and now the audio portion of the system does not work. We went to the local Jayco dealer and found out the unit has been discontinued and has no replacement. Everything in the new units are wall mounted. As a last resort and a little bit of work a new wall mount could be installed but replacing with a stand alone shelf type unit would be better. Any ideas where we might be able to find a replacement unit.
Well, a lot of questions first. One, is it 12V or 110V? Two, are the speakers hard wired in or RCA plugs? Three, where does the current unit draw power from? ( this goes with the first question.) Four, what kind of speakers? Resistance? Once you have answered these, I or someone else here may be more able to help you! Good Luck
What kind of monitor does it use? Is it built in or separate? If it's separate, then you could just get a car stereo with a built in DVD player. You'll have to build a cabinet if it's going to sit on a shelf, though.
