Ever have fond memories of a camper you owned many years ago, used the heck out of it, made countless memories with your family, but eventually sold it so you could "upgrade" to something else - hybrid, travel trailer, 5th, whatever? Tonight as I was sitting out on the patio enjoying an end of summer evening I decided to peruse Kijiji (same idea here in Canada as Craig's List, Auto Trader, etc) to see what was up for sale in used popup trailers. Holy Smokes, I nearly fell off my chair when I spotted an ad for a used 2000 Fleetwood Santa Fe and realized that was our popup from nearly 20 yrs ago! Over the course of 6 yrs we towed that trailer some 30,000 km, south as far as Myrtle Beach and west out to Yellowstone, The Black Hills, the Colorado Rockies, and countless places in between. Those were the days when our boys were young and we averaged 40 - 45 nights camping and towed thousands of kms each year. I often wondered what happened to that camper and now years later there it was staring right back at me! Sure looks worn compared to when we owned it but many of the mods I had done are still with it. Here's the ad ...

... and here's my online album of that same camper ...

All I can say is - WOW! [:O]

Cool! Out of curiosity, what is it that identifies this as yours, vs another similar one?

Many mods I did to that camper - Carrier AirV A/C on the roof, cargo box at the rear, tongue platform, tongue jack modified so I could operate it with a drill, modified potti cabinet, modified top drawer front to swing down so I could load that area with the roof down, car stereo in the swing level galley - the list goes on. It was ours alright, 100%! Ah - the memories! :)

I occasionally look for our Apache Royal for sale. We don't live in that area anymore, so don't look as often. Like you, I made enough changes that I would recognize it. I think I'd drive 1,000 miles to buy it back unless it was crazy priced, like your old one seems to be.

The only way I can think of to know for sure is to have the VIN number from your previous paperwork... The VIN NUMBER will not change when you sell your trailer...

Oh I see... I was only looking at the ad pics at first and didn't see any kind of shower.

Really nice mods. If I did all that work I'd have kept it forever lol.
