Surge protector

    I use one (surge protector) and have used on for several years, I also always use a pressure regulator for water. Better to be safe than sorry.

    I suspect you're confusing the term "surge protection" with a simple 30" delay before the transfer switch will pass power through to the load so the generator has time to settle into a constant speed. If not, post a link to what you're talking about that shows these WFCO transfer switches offer surge protection, as measured in joules. If you don't have a link then post a pic of the information you have so we can all better understand what you're talking about.

    I was somewhat wrong. It isn't a WFCO. I was confused. Its a Progressive Dynamics. Its rated at 3300Joules and 103,000 amps
