Good to know. I spent a lot of time with Ken on the phone and he is willing to work with me since I want to restore and update it (vintage but not those hideous curtains, lol). Headed out now. Lord help me.

WendyLou, don't do it, you can't afford it, who needs so many campers anyway??? That's just silly! You don't need another one, be happy with the one you have.

Oh, who am I kidding, show us all pics when you get it home! [:D] [:D] [:D] [:D] [:D]

I think it's funny that they finally posted pictures of it and also the one that I bought off them already.

I know that they are always busy and the guys in the shop area didn't know anything about pop ups untill they went over mine but at least they admitted it.

Sweet! I love that you were so spontaneous. My kind of girl. When we bought ours, we drove 4 hours to another state and bought it sight unseen. I love the icebox by the door and the colors. You will fix it up real cute I bet! Congrats!

Haven't read the whole thread yet... forgive me. Just had to post as soon as I looked at the picture!

OMG! THAT IS MY CAMPER! Buy it and we can be twins!!!

So cool to see another one looking in good shape. If it really is, you can't go wrong. I can vouch for the Wheelcampers!

Now I'll go read the rest and see how this turned out...

    Edited after reading :

YAY! You bought her! The turquoise is definitely swoon-worthy!
We still have all the original ugly fabric and the faux cobblestone look vinyl floor too. I won't change a thing, but I sure won't hate on you if you do!
Actually yours is a bigger model than mine. I have a Lodgewagon, yours might be a Chuckwagon?
    Go here http://www.popupcamperhistory.com/wheelcamper196xbrochure.html#
    for some more info.

    Congrats!!

I told you it was nice. If I would of had the money I would have picked it up when I was buying the other. How much did you get it for if I may ask?.

Congrats!! From a previous WheelCamper owner.

Some facts. Tongue weight is roughly 100# the GVW is 1200# again, from memory. [;)]
The lift arms need special attention, remove rust with wire brush and naval jelly. There is spring in each lift arm, check bolts that hold arms onto pup, they like to back off.

As for the curtains, the paisley was very big in 1960's!! [:D] Feel free to message me if you want specific info, I still have access to the original paperwork with my old camper [I gave to my neice [;)]]

Thank y'all so much! I am so happy! I will post pics later...I promise (already mentioned that dh's camera and I don't get along switching from dng to jpg).

Jeff, no prob at all...I talked him down to $1000 [;)]

Now tell me i have a deal because this is causing issues in the marriage realm. I just showed him the Shasta and he about went apoplectic. I love him dearly, but after 24 years he knows he can't stop me once I have my mind set.

That is okay, the Shasta will wait. I will redo this baby and the jayco, sell the jayco and keep this one (so much more vintage, cool and unique!

Chippers...we need to chat! I will pm you later, must get off now.

If I get a Shasta so soon after this, dh will certainly have a shootout with me [;)] The right Shasta will be there when the time is right, he reminds me.

Again, I love projects. I see myself redoing these things, selling the ones I don't adore completely, and moving on to the next one.

Hmm...think I might need a lot soon or our ranch will be overrun with my projects, lol.
