Wolf Creek park reservation window opens up on July 9,2017 for Sept reservations. Last year the weekend after labor day turned out very good. Sites were readily available due to it being after the holiday. Please chime in and let Robin , Lonestarcamper or Txbum know if interested. Thank you and a Happy Father's day to all.

Thanks Richard for putting this out there. It would be great to see everyone again! I haven’t been up there this year, so I definitely planning on it.

A Rally is just an excuse to get outdoors and meet old and new friends. We are usually a small group. We are pop ups, trailers, and even tent campers. Nothing is formal. We potluck our meals and try to get our campsites close together. Wolfcreek is a TRA Campground on the SE shore of Lake Livingston. It’s beautiful, with multiple restrooms and showers, full store, swim area, playground, boat launch, and fishing pier. They have a website. The campsites can be reserved up to 60 days in advance. I am making my reservation on Monday 7/9 for Sept 5-9. Last year we gathered around sites 12-15, 21-23, and 29-30, but anywhere in 1-30 would be close. It’s just the playground is across the street from those sites. T-minus it would be fun to see the family again! Dan and Kat we would love to meet you! Let us know on here if you reserve. Robin

Will be there again. Those new to a rally, we plan events for kids, games, treasure hunt, etc. Good park, you might even spot a bald eagle at the park. Easily one of the nicest parks in Texas. Richard ..Txbum

Deb and I will be watching her radiation treatment, particularly towards the end of it (which is August) to see how she's feeling. She was diagnosed last November with Stage 3 breast cancer. She's been through chemo and surgery and she's doing really great. Deb is now in remission. Hopefully she'll have enough recovery time to get out for a camping trip in the Fall and what a nice way to break-in our new camper. Your group sounds like it would be fun to meet and nearly in our backyard too. I'll run this by her.

It would be great to meet the new folks! Btw, correction on park location SW end of Lake Livingston.
If you are pretty sure of plans, make your reservation online or call the park. They don’t refund the deposit, but will keep it on your account till next use. See ya there!

Stacy and I are interested. We're mostly recovered from the June trip to Colorado...via Indiana. About 6 states and almost 4k miles. Took five full mornings to clean the truck.

I like trains and would love to take the ride across Colorado on one! I know how you and Stacy feel. I drove 3500 miles to Canada at Niagara Falls and back in 2 1/2 weeks in May-June. I’ll be ready for the outdoors again in Sept!

4B5E0121-A1CE-4AB9-9028-49EE8459D518.png i do NOT NEED “full rv” (sewer?) hookups.
dont NEED elec, but its nice.

i DO NEED a site with room for girl dog to have a long 50ft rope.
she HAS to PLAY BALL for an hour or more every evening to wear her down to sleep. not quite 2, still a silly girl. i got her thanksgiving 2017.

bella is just learning about social events & other dogs. (she did good at 4th july picnic in my neighborhood) she is still in training. boy dog Barney is blind, so i have to factor that in too. but he’s super mellow.
both love “swimming” & camping.

i have a ton, literally, of camp gear.
extra tents.
extra stoves.
huge 10x20 party tent.
big party ice chests.

this is the place?
how are the yellow sites in middle?
google maps next. 4B5E0121-A1CE-4AB9-9028-49EE8459D518.png A2D8C34E-936A-4A13-A6A5-6F974870A8A5.jpeg

Debra and I expressed an interest in this event but after discussing together we realized it's our 35th Anniversary. And we are due for a romantic getaway as we're booking a cabin in the Ouachita Mtns. in SE Oklahoma. Y'all have fun and maybe catch you on the next one.

Katskamper - From where we were set up last time we went there, I'd say that sites 30, 21, and 22 all have a lot of open ground around them for your dog to run. I'd also point out that when we were there the park hosts would stop and at least make comments each time a dog was running around without being tied down, so not sure how much playing with a ball would happen. What some campers I've seen do in the past is to connect a leash to their dogs and let them drag it around. That way you could say that they "just got loose, but you were trying".

I would advise that you contact the park on the 50ft rope. There is a leash length limit that is strictly enforced as Adrian mentioned. We are right across from restrooms and playgrounds so lots of kiddos. If you get a spot in yellow go for the far end where no one is next to you. You’ll have more room. Hopefully your dog is not a barker cuz they will ask you to put her up.
As for that weekend, it’s getting short notice and it’s a birthday for a couple of our campers. TMinus has to plan his weekends at work and this was a go for him.
Remember, reservation window opens Monday at 8 am.
