Nice, creative work. I have to ask - where did you get the Coleman welcome mat?

The dealer gave it to me as a "thank you" gift along with a bottle of cheap champaign when I bought the camper.

The switch to a foot pump is exactly what I want to do. What kind of pump is it and where did you get it? I'd have to do a bit more work figuring out just where our pump would go as our Taos has a furnace where you have a cupboard that you put the pump into... Also really like the idea of a hot tap for city connection, cold for pump. Is the pump at all special, or just a low profile one from the hardware store?

The foot pump is a Whale Gusher Galley MK3 http://us.binnacle.com/product_info.php?cPath=31_259&products_id=2356.
They are a Canadian distributer in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

When I bought my pump it was on sale ($10 off). They do have a look alike pump for about $55.00. I got the lavatory faucet from Home Depot for about $35. You do have to be careful of the height.

    rinrat86:

Possibly, you might be able to put the pump in the cabinet under the dinette bench next to the sink. Run the water line from the tank to the pump and then from pump to sink. The city line would stay the same. You would then operate the pump with your left foot rather than your right like I have mine.

One mod (if you want to call it that) that I didn't mention was when I bought the Taos it had only one strip of non-skid tape on the step. On the inside edge of all places. A trip to the hardware store produced a strip the same width and I cut it to the length I needed. I think it only cost about two dollars or so.

I like that skirt mod for the screen room. We have not used ours yet (except in camp driveway), but I already cut the existing skirt off, and put pieces of velcro on it to attach to the screen room walls. Now I have to figure out a good way to attach it to the body of the pup - the existing snaps just do not work.
