Noticed the Motor homes and 5th wheels heading north on the highways here.
Are there any 'Snowbirds' out there that have returned. Do you have any stories to tell?
Or "when in the South; it stays in the South."
    Good Luck and Happy Camping!

I can get a table at any restaurant here right away. So they left the border.

I noticed a fair number of MoHo's and 5'ers driving the highways lately too... Hoping to get out in the next weekend or two and get the season started, winter has lasted way too long...

When I grow up (I mean when I get to retire), DH & I will move to Florida and summer in northern Minnesota. So what would the opposite of Snowbird be, would it be Sunbird?

The RV resort we can see from the highway is starting to fill up with the big rigs. This started after Easter. Our neighbors that go to Florida for the winter have returned also. Me, I just want this rain to stop so I can get busy outside and be ready to go camping!

Good riddings. And thanks for spending your money in Texas. LOL

Just kidding, I enjoy visiting with my yankee camping neighbors.

    Travel Safely Snowbirds. Happy Camping.

I don't think the snow birds are so bad. I will choose them over the rude and obnoxious weekly tourists here near the Mouse House ! At least the snowbirds are semi-invested and give a hoot about "our neighborhood". Just my [2C]

We are set-up to snowbird between AZ [SUN] and OR [{}=] in just a few years. Like others have said more MoHo and 5ers on the hwy here these days. Just makes me itch for the day when it's me up and down that highway! [A]

We are not snowbirds but decided to take a camping trip to Louisiana for Spring Break to meet some friends who were down there camping. The WHOLE way down, all we saw was motorhomes and 5th wheels heading back up North. We returned to Michigan yesterday after just over two weeks down South. What a rude shock that was! Temp was 39 degrees and rain.....ugh....will it never end? It hasn't improved at all since we left on March 27th.

Yesterday my Physio told me she was crammed with bookings by snowbirds returning home injured, primarily with soft tissue problems. She said it seems to work in four year cycles where the influx is heavier than usual and this is the fourth year since the last one. Just thought the cycle experience was interesting.
