My family stayed this Labor Day weekend at the Wilderness Campground that is a part of Silver Dollar City. I found the campground to be pretty nice although the sites themselves were very small. And you are basically on the side of a mountain so six feet out your front door and you really risk falling (that is if you get on the "cliff" side of the road). We have a 16 month old son and spent most of our time away from the camper and when we did come back we were so tired we went straight to bed basically so it wasnt that big of a problem. We stayed in campsite 170 which is 30 feet from a nearby and very popular breakfast restaurant and a lot of the nearby campers would drive and park very near our site and even walk through our campsite to get to the restaurant. but again we didnt spend a whole lot of time at the campsite so it wasnt a big deal. did have a little trouble backing our camper in to our site but we got it done. Overall the campground was well maintained and i liked the fact that they had shuttle service to SDC for everyone.. that was nice. Restrooms were decent and the staff was nice as well. the campground is stretched out long instead of being more of an overall round shape so the road noise was a bit much but we were so tired that it didnt make that much difference... 3.5 out of 5 stars. the Restaurant next door named Billy Gales was fantastic and youd better get there early if you dont want to wait an hour...

Stayed here several times now. Cabin, tent, now PUP. Great staff, nice facilities. Well shaded. Pool is nice for the kids during the season. Nice lounge area, clean bathrooms. Free shuttle to Silver Dollar City (owned by the same folks, so you can also get park tickets here, too).

It can be noisy, as the full-service spots are along the hwy, but not unreasonable. Plenty of tent-only sites tucked further away. Recommend, will stay again.
