We bought a popup with a toilet in it specifically because we had young kids and one who was still being potty trained. Four years later and we still love having a toilet in our pup. We do not do #2 in it. Just a personal choice. Has come in handy many a cold, wet night or a hot, buggy dark night. I think its really just a personal choice if its worth the extra money, to us it was. :)

Yep they are. But there are many models. The curve is a low cost point in the 125 to 150. It's the sealed holding tank I like.

And easy to carry the holding tank to restroom and pour the black water in... if there's no drainage for black water at campgrounds.

Our current Thetford Porta Potty is 7 years old and still works like new. It is almost a necessity with little ones or camping far away from the facilities. Easy to dump and clean. We do keep use to #1 only though.

One thing with them is make sure to store it where it won't freeze. Even a small amount of water left in the pump can ruin it if it freezes. That's how our first one died, replaced with a Coleman that lasted two trips because it leaked so bad, then the current Thetford. The extra money spent now will be worth it.

My Jayco has one built in. I purchased a portable thetford for my other two popups without toilets. They are the best if you ask me.
