Since owning a 1973 Montgomery Ward Western Field Edition Pop I searched for vintage pup sites and didn't find much.

So I started a Vintage Pop Up (Pre-1980) Facebook group and it is steadily growing.

Is there enough interest here for it here, I'd say yes!

I would offer my time to regulate or admin it if necessary.

I don't own a vintage p'up, but I sure would like to read that subforum as often as possible. I do love the looks of those old Cox campers!

I'd be interested as an owner of a 76 Coleman Yorktown.

Well darn, I want to join too, but my PUP is only a 1984. How about letting us 25 years and older campers in to your group? :p Though, I think you may have let me in your FB group now that I think about it.

I wont kick anyone out for an older pup, such as the 1980's, but the pop up designs prior to 1980 are very different from the norm. From 1980 and up the pop ups are very similar to today. That is where the Pre-1980 came from in the FB group. There were people posting their vintage 1994 pup, I just recommended they post on the PCO group as there are more pups similar to theirs.

The exception is if the model of your camper was released prior to 1980 and it was still made after 1980. Again, it is a rule of thumb and nothing is specific. I previously had a 1986 Starcraft SLE16 and wouldn't have posted it in a Vintage group.

Our 1st camper in 1985 was a simple canvas tent on a trailer....1968 believe it was a Monkey Wards....would love to find another.
