What is the difference between premium and standard campsites? I get a 25% discount for using State parks since I am a state employee.

My guess would be power and water at the premium and not at the standard ?

Standard usually has power, water and maybe no sewer. Premium could mean it has all three, or just may be a good spot like lakefront.

At Louisiana State Parks premium sites can also be pull-through sites as well as waterfront sites.

A lot of the Tennessee State Parks charge more for waterfront sites, or similar. I know this is true at Harrison Bay near Cleveland, Tn.
