I am a 68 year old retiree with a wife of 48 years together.
During the last 64 years we have been campers, using various types of campers. Starting with a 13' Hi Low, then a 19' tow low, then a 27' Southwind Motor Home, and finally a 38' Park Model on a permanent site.
Now I have acquired a 13' Palomino pop up camper for our mini van to pull as we travel.
Finding I am going in circles. The Hi Low and Tow Low campers always had lift cable issues. Guess what? First time out in Palamino pop up, main cable broke.
Biggest issue I have now is getting top section of trailer up, so I can replace the cable. Short of having 4 'hulk' sized men, how can I get top half of trailer up. Once up, can support top with 2X4s.
    Appreciate all suggestions.
    Tim

Welcome from Michigan! Have you tried searching the lift system forum for ideas? I would think your best bet is to find a few bodies to help. Maybe ask a local scout troop to do their good deed for the day?

Hello and Welcome from Hampshire UK[GBR] when my cable went I inched it up bit by bit with bits of timber until I could get a prop under the roof (the wife did help [:D])
