I'll be towing a 2001 Santa Fe with a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe. I have a sway bar and electric brakes on trailer. I will also be replacing the shocks on the TV asap as they are a little bouncy. Towing it home from the RV dealer was a breeze, but I know that if we want to do mountains, etc we will need to hitch up to the Explorer Sport. I would like to take my bikes but currently only have a rear door bike mount and I'm afraid that adding two bikes will put too much weight on the hitch. Thoughts?

Hola Yo'll

Please look at the Max Weight of The Pop Up Unit. This may be why you already have Brakes
on it ( it the law at ___________ pounds. Or - it could of been a pay more option for yours and
you are Lucky for this.

There is more danger of towing your trailer in a city or any other built up area than towing in The
Mountain's. The curves - down grades and etc are marked in advance. A person driving while
texting - driving while legally impaired or driving to be there in .0057 seconds sooner give you no
advance warning.

Even though all Trailer Tire's are Speed Rated for a max of 65 MPH - what is the max towing speed's
on the routes that you are to travel ?

The 2001 Coleman Santa Fe came with electric brakes. I just got the controller for the TV. The sway bar was an added precaution for interstate travel. I would rather be over prepared than under.

Not sure what you mean by "to much weight on the hitch" do you mean tongue weight or to much for the TV or to much for the hitch itself?

Hola Yo'll Again

The Hitch can handle the Torque/ Stress of what it does - so adding bicycle weight is a minuim
to what it was designed for.

For now while you are still learning what you have and what you can do with it ---- walk around
the place that you are going to vs what you have thought of.

With tires that have 65 MPH as a max speed stamped on The Side Wall and driving even on a two
lane Hwy means nothing if you are loaded ( balanced ) incorrectly. Do this part correctly and you
can save on something that may be in a Owner's Manual ---Not To Ever Use.

As asked before --- What is the max Towing Speeds permitted in the routes that you want to travel
( Vehicle by its self is one speed limit and vehicle towing a Pop Up is another that most of the time
is posted as being 10 MPH slower ).
