So I was looking at the Dodge web page the other day at the Magnum and I see that it has a 3800 lb tow capacity (when properly equipped and with the 5.7L Hemi engine). So what do you all think, would you actually tow a PUP with it? Right now we have a 2000 Coleman Cheyenne that has an UVW of around 2000 lbs and a GVWR of 3000 lbs, so it sounds like it might work. Thanks for any advice or opinions.

Should work just fine. Going to have to have the dealership put the hitch on though to make sure its under warranty. After market hitch aren't covered by Chrysler. The 5.7 hemi has lots of power to pull, no problem, make sure your popup has brakes.

It sounds like it should work fine, Christina. Make sure you follow all of Chrysler's recommendations, and electric brakes, if you don't already have them on the Cheyenne, are something you should seriously consider.

Magnum rocks. They are one of my favorite vehicles. Too bad Chrysler LLC has axed them. With the low center of gravity, it would make an excellent tow vehicle.

Just try to find one with the tow package that is necessary though. It's rarer than hen's teeth. I actually looked for one once and none of the dealers had one. Expect to have to order it, if they are still taking orders.

It's a pricey tow vehicle though. It takes the R/T to get the Hemi and they start mid-30's or more.
