Well our first year of pup-ing is in the books. I covered her up with a new adco Tyvek cover and I am ready to put in her storage. I have an hour drive to where I'm going. Can I keep the cover on while I'm towing the pup? Looks like is have to pull it up around the wheels.

Thank you for any advice you can offer!

I wouldn't do it. These covers are not designed to be used while towing, I don't believe. You risk doing damage to the cover. It doesn't take very long to remove it, and then reinstall it at your storage site.

No, tow it to your storage site and then put the cover on. As good as these covers are, you risk a chance of tearing it not to mention that no one will see your lights.

With how lose that fit is right now, just think of any time you've seen someone with a tarp covering what they have in the bed of their truck. No matter how many tie down straps they used, it balloons up. I've seen that ballooning tear through a tarp before.

Another vote for removing it before towing it .. These covers were made for storage not transporting, don't even think they make a transit cover for RV's ...

+ another vote for removing it. Just too much chance of damaging or losing it, not o mention the havoc it might cause tangling in the wheels or hitting another vehicle. They aren't the easiest thing t install and snug up, but far better than running down the road with it.
BTW, ours is about that loose, even with the straps provided, we have added 4 tarp clips and run a "purse string" with paracord around them. Even then, it can billow some in our winds.

I'm a little suprized nobody pointed out the fact you would not have any visible brake lights if you had left it on.

Wow....I certainly hope this was a light hearted comment. That'll make friends real fast around here.

Well no need to be a jerk when someone is politely asking a question. See his response.

I have to be in Chef's corner on this.. The comment wasn't necessary to begin with, and begged for (probably hoped for/provoked) the response that it received. On a forum like this, no question should be considered a dumb one. Answer it nicely and as helpful as possible, or move on and troll another forum.

Chef: will you be checking on the pup throughout the winter? Being an hour's drive, it sounds like a relaxing sunday drive to me!

Didn't even think of the lack of nobody seeing the lights... West Coast Canuck was right on with that!

KMH,

I definitely will be checking on it. It is at a property one of my relatives owns which also has video surveillance. So for having to leave it outside, it's a great place that I am grateful to be able to use.

KMH, and chef, I may have missed whatever comment was made. It may have been deleted by the mods already, all I saw was chefs comment, so on my end it looked like an unwarranted deal. Sorry for the confusion and apologies there chef.
