Hello from North Carolina! I'm about to buy this old 95ish Dutchmen pop up for $200. Try to talk me out of it, or encourage me to buy it! I'm new here and figured this would be the best way to introduce myself. It's gonna need a lot of roof repair. The canvas seems like it's in great shape. The floor is dry. Newly installed wheel bearings. Pretty sure the A/C unit and the heater works. The mattresses will need to be replaced. The tires will need to be replaced soon. I'm pretty good at DIY. Never owned a camper before. I'm on a pretty tight budget too. Looking forward to hearing for ya!

I’d jump on it. If nothing else clean it up and you’d double what you paid for it. So let me say welcome and greetings from Chapel Hill to the exciting world of Pop-Up camping!

First before you buy read up everything you can about replacing the roof. It's a lot of work, and can get costly, but doable. It's going to be a fixer upper and be sure you crawl in every nook and cranny to verify nothing else needs replacing. Sure don't want a nasty surprise the second you bring it home also have them put the lift in motion with you there. If the canvas is as good as you say, you just saved $1000 right there. If you are capable and have the time and enjoy the work go for it.

Welcome from N/W Fl Panhandle. Go for it, just take it slow and if it gets to be too much you can always make a utility trailer out of the frame. Good Luck and Happy Camping

Depends on if you're itching to camp, or itching for a project. You'll have a project for a while before you are able to camp.

    Welcome from Alaska.

Do it! this is a great opportunity to totally customize the camper. Fix up the inside the way you like it. You can customize the colors, the cabinets, make it how you like it. If you're an experienced diy-er you might find it enjoyable I know I did when I fixed mine up. Just a side note, make sure the lift system is in good shape.

I took possession of my new old PUP today. Knew there were going to be problems with the cargo department. Not sure where to start but at least it is here where I can work on it. First thing I did was clean it up. Need tires, etc. Hope I didn't bite off more than I can chew.
