For those that were wondering how to get your TV off your precious counter space here's how I did it.
    1 hinge
    1 1x4 cut to length
    1 adjustable furniture foot
    1 adjustable strap.
1 small wall mount. (Make sure the swivel mounts to TV and NOT wall...see picture)

Cut and paint board to length minus 1.5 inches. One end uses the hinge in either existing holes or drill some and use tapping screws. Other end drill a counter hole for adjustable foot and tap flush.
Mount TV mount at prefered height on board so that it faces roof in upright position.
Slip adjustable strap through roof brace. This will secure board in travel mode.
Swing board down and turn foot to snug board to counter top. This also acts as a safety if your lift system should give out.
Mount TV.....plug it in....my TV has a built-in DVD player for the grandkids movies at night.

Had the scrap wood and paint.......total cost 20.00 including dollar store TV mount.

Nice idea to connect to that brace that’s already there. Easy to fold up too. How easy was it to screw through the bar? This looks very simple to add. Curious, where do you store the TV?
Ps I had the exact same color scheme as your Utah. Although the valance and curtains were the first to go. ;)

I like it! Looks good! Ive been trying to decide if we want to bring a tv and dvd player. I like the thought of not having one so the kids (7&5yrs old) will do other outside stuff when we camp. However it might be good for a rainy day/night if we can't get out.

New screw holes were easy peasy. I store the TV in its original box, pillow on either side between the closed slide out and the couch.

I use mine inside for football games in the fall if raining.
Other than that i like the grit tv station and watching westerns before bed and at nap time.

That's why I keep a portable DVD player hidden in my pup. Comes out on 2nd consecutive rainy days. The first rainy day will consist of frog hunting, splashing in puddles and just having fun. Kids get tired of that though.
