Two lift points??

Hoping someone can answer this. I recently renovated a rare hard side 1993 StarCraft Starmaster Vista. It has two places to insert the crank to lift the roof. One is on the side under a door and one is through the frame. They both seems to do the same thing. Anyone got an explanation? See photo attached. 2F05C4FF-D3F2-4748-B508-DD15B40B974A.jpeg

Probably a chain drive between the two. Use the lower one if the chain slips or breaks.
I think you're right. I finally found the manual for the camper by digging through this forum, and the manual mentions using either one of the crank points, but doesn't go into any detail into why it has two of them.

Some of the older Colemans (I think?) had two crank locations geared differently so if one was too hard for your weak little self you could use the other one. One for men and one for women. Yeah. Seriously. [;{}]
