Just made an August reservation at Balmorhea State Park. We're trying to get the most out of our pop up this summer. Any advice or info would be great. We've been wanting to hit this park for a while and now that we have AC it looks a lot more appealing.

We stayed two nights last October on our way to Florida being intrigued by the million gallon per hour spring, and went snorkeling. We decided we needed three nights on our way back to scuba in the pool, (there is a dive shop right outside the gate). We really enjoyed a big desert pool in the middle of nowhere. If you dive in the pool take something to feed the millions of fish and turtles, they won't take no for an answer. There is not much outside the park, no Wally World, so bring everything you may need. We did go to the Indian Lodge at Fort Davis for Thanksgiving dinner and saw many deer on the highway. The park has covered picnic tables on many sites. Not many people in November, but I understand they get thousands on summer weekends. The bathrooms were nice and clean. I would send a few pictures, but don't know how.
