Went there over the weekend and LOVED IT! Big sites with table, fire pit/bbq grill. Bathrooms were very clean. Weather was perfect! I will give it a 10. We went to the Natural Bridge Caverns & Wildlife Ranch as well. We will go back!

Guadalupe is the park that got us into camping again. My youngest son had a Cubscout campout there and we loved the park so we went back the next weekend and spent Thanksgiving there. It's a good year around park with plenty to do regardless of the weather.

srds - when are you going to South Llano? We'll be there over the July 4th weekend.

How far is Guadalupe River SP from Seguin?
We are traveling there for a tournament in late July and are looking for a nice place to stay.
What is the weather like at that time? Will we be miserable without an a/c?

Someone else can say how far it is from Seguin but I can tell you it is HOT in late July. Definately must have A/C.

It's about 45 miles if you go through New Braunfels to get to Guadelupe River SP. If I were looking for a State Park near Seguin I would stay at Lockhart SP first or Palmetto SP second. Without an AC I would go for Lockhart since you have a good chance of being in the shade and down near the creek if you get water/elec only. The sites at Lockhart with sewer have no shade at all. Both parks are closer to 30 miles from Seguin. Palmetto can be a bit buggy in the spring and summer but is pretty shady as well. Have fun.
