Well got a bit done today! Had to work around kindergarten and naps! So after going through a ton of shock charts I found a set that would work well. Monroe shock off a 63 corvette lol! So off to autozone. Well the part number in the 2014 doesnt match autozone catalog.... God forbid you ask them anything technical about anything. Soo got my shocks and didnt end up punching the 50 year old autozone employee in the face for being a jackazz. Had to weld in another cross brace for the upper shock mount.

Not super happy about my welds even though they are bomber.(baby started crying on the monitor)
Ended up being the perfect length and compression.
Welded the bumpstop cups on also
    [IMG]
I did up cutting the bumps down but gave myself extra in case.
Need limiting straps, airline fittings, electric brake lines, paint, and I can probably mount the camper!

What is the weight of this sub frame going to be, and are you removing the old frame or just bolting that to your new one? I am concerned about the weight.

I wish I could remove the original subframe but the 10000 screws in it I wouldnt even try!!
    Rough weights for steel
    Axle per shipping weight 105#
    2x3 .095 x 60' 3# foot = 180#
    2x3 .120 x 20' 4# foot =80#
    1.5x2 .095 x 20' 2# = 40#
    3x3 x 6.5' 4# = 26#
    Have 14' of 2x3" 0.95 left over.
Soo i round up on all weights 3.90 = 4# etc
Roughly 390# so 400# for good measure?Trailer weight 1300 without 3 tires and axle.

Guessing right around 1700# which anything under 2k# Im fine with. Im not sure what my teardrop trailer weighed but im sure it was just as heavy.
My hummer has a tow capacity of 6k# and I have upgraded the trans cooler. I think Im doing pretty good and not scared [emoji2]

Big step today! I got my airlines and electric brake wires semi installed. Cut all the original suspension out and trimmed the front cross member for the subframe.
Next was able to slide the new subframe and suspension in
    [IMG]
Besides a few spots on the crossmember that i had to grind down it fits perfect!!!!
Dont worry about the 7 pin and airlines hangin down that will get fixed[emoji3]
Have to work tomorrow, so mondays plan is to make connecting plates for the frame, mount the winch, wire the brakes, mount the air fitting, install tires, etc etc etc etc

Nice work. Always wanted to build small one for the 4 wheeler. Wanted to seal bottom so I could cross streams.

    Got some stuff done today!
Welded 6 brackets on to join the subframe to the original frame. I only welded one side on the original frame until I do a test drive.
Then I slapped the tires on for clearance check. 100% badazz!!!! Lol everything has great clearance!!!!
Going to have to play with ride height adjustment but.....
And then at full bump and camp height. I have 1.5" between tire and fender.
To do finish wiring brakes, rear bumper, stabilizers, order trailer side hitch, paint frame.
Pretty tongue heavy right now so need to order water tank hopefully before my trip,

    Got some work done today..
    Installed rear stabilizers
    Stowed
    [IMG]
    And deployed
    [IMG]
Still have to build a rear bumper setup. Cut the handles off and welded on nuts so I can just use a impact drill.
Bought the front jack yet to officially install it.
Trailer hitch was ordered this morning. Hopefully this coming week I will get a test run in!
