Hi fellow puppies. I am wanting to give my veneer cabinets a makeover but I am worried about the paint getting scratched or peeling off from stuff being stored during tow. Any suggestions on paint, new veneer, maybe vinyl? TIA.:D

I would just paint them. I might do mine soon. Its not going to last as long as kitchen cabinites, but your also not in the pup full time. Sand a bit, wash with tsp, use a good bonding primer.

I'm only writing because I have the same question, sort of. In my case I have two dogs so dirt is another worry.

Dogs will probably scratch the finish as its not as tough as cabinite paint.
Ok so in my infinite wisdom, or stupidity ( depends on how you look at it) i started painting mine. Biggest reason was last trip it was too dark and dingy in the camper. So i put in new led lights and started to paint. Now given im 6'6" as soon as i started i realized it was a mistake. No room for me and painting in a clean manor. So i just figured i would rush through the prime coat. I didnt remove hardwere or anything else. Everything was pitted anyway. The camper is 19 years old. I went around stuff best i could, but the lack of room made me just rush it. Lots of plastic stuff in every nook and crany, i painted it all. When i get to the finish coat i will update. So in 2 hours , put up the bunk shelves and half a$$ prined the camper.

Build new cabs. It’s not hard and the new ones can be faceless framed giving WAY more space

Lol ,the ones on the left are the old ones! Paint them!!!! :D
New ones are nice, anything is better then whats in them originally, but it comes down to time, effort and money. One of these i have. The other two, not so much!

The ones on the right replace ones that took some water damage right before the trip. Gotta make new cabs this year, and redo the floor when I’m at it

I get it, im painting mine as i had the paint left over. And floor also, that will be soon. The cabinets painted white, along with the led lights make the pop up look bigger and brighter. So i dont feel like im in a cave when i get up in the am!

Well now you have to paint the furnace vent and the fridge door - a nice pewter or silver.
