Thank you!! The corners are actually just flashing folded to fit. Long story but that part of the rebuild was a mess and that’s actually covering some of the mistakes. I did just paint the cabinets! Just took it out for the first time and they held up well to the trip - no scuffs or chips in the paint so far. The countertops are just boards covered in $8 contact paper. Close up, you can tell, but it’s waterproof, looks amazing, and super easy to recover if they get banged up!!

Thank you!! I found the fabric at Joann. The solid navy duck fabric and the print it one of their outdoor fabrics. Got it on sale and it cost just under $100 for all cushions. And yes, the countertops are just the cheap marble peel and stick paper. (Same for the table!)

We were worried about all of the potential problems of the weight of the a/c, plus our TV has low capacity so we were eager to remove the weight as well. Very glad we removed it!

We finally got her out for her first journey this weekend! Hard to believe where I started with this camper and where it is now. Had a great first trip, took notes of things to add / change for next time, but overall everything went even better than I’d hoped. My parents joined us and I can tell it brought back so many memories for them of taking my brothers and I out in their popup 30 years ago. I felt so proud to be able to bring them a new generation of memories with my family in a “new” pup.

My 4-year-old begged to stay just one more night. Work and responsibilities at home await, sadly, so we couldn’t, but promised another trip in a few weeks.

Beautiful job! I love the colour choices and the throw cushions are super cute.
I'd also love to hear how the contact paper holds up. I've been wondering what to do with our counters.

Would have never figured that the little Jeep would pull a camper that big.

Just checked the Jeep website and the maximum towing capacity for your Jeep is 2000 lbs.

They are probably under that with that PUP. My Wrangler can only tow 2000lbs due to the short wheelbase and my Starcraft only has a GVW of 1600lbs.

A fact of which I am well aware, and a capacity of which I am under. ☺️

Why? I'm confused... I'd like to see that pup, as would my wife.

Not cool at all. Don't be that guy. It's petty, and unnecessary not to mention sexist.

It’s about towing capacity, pushing the max and sub par tow vehicles. Jeep Wrangler 2 door has 2000 pound with maximum 200 pound hitch max. Jeep Patriot or whatever Fiat calls it is even worse of a choice to tow anything. That fiat thing should only be used to transport passenger and only wishes it could be a Wrangler lol.

Jeeps are top heavy, and all steel. Short wheel base to boot. Im thinking the other vehicle is better for towing.
