You are just afraid to get the vaccine. End of story , don't need to hear endless B.S and reasons and conspiracy theories. Man up and get vaccinated.

Where we will be camping, the Rangers had to put down a Bear a couple of years ago... apparently it became agressive and was harrasing campers.... We'll be doing some back-country hiking... gotta be extra cautious for Ticks... I've had many encounters with Black Bears, over the years... I've never had a Tick bite [though, one of our Sons has]

We're pretty well prepared and experienced campers and, we're willing to take the risk

WE'RE GOING CAMPING!!!!

Happy Trails!

[PS: already been infected with COVID and I survived... I, now, got natural antibodies..."Ah. Well... I attended Juilliard... I'm a graduate of the Harvard business school. I travel quite extensively. I lived through the Black Plague and had a pretty good time during that. I've seen the Excorcist 167 times, and it keeps getting funnier every single time I see it. Not to mention the fact that you're talking to a dead guy! Now what do you think!? You think I'm qualified?" (Bettlejuice) LOL [LOL]

We've tripped into the territory of personally attacking a fellow member on the forum. I am not super familiar with the way this forum works, but this seems to be a bit over the line of decency at this point. I may have missed earlier posts that go into this territory.

Considering how this disease and potential treatments / prevention has been shoved so solidly into the realm of the political, I am more than a little surprised the mods / admins here let this thread get off the ground at all... Too touchy of a subject.

Maybe for some civility we can go participate in a Linux users discussion on which distribution is best... No different.

Mint! If you disagree, I will torment you and everyone you love. Or something….

I still don’t understand how something as simple as getting vaccinated against a virus (regardless of its origin) could have been politicized. I don’t understand how the vaccine is emergency/provisional-only while the rest of the planet has full approvals. I don’t understand how reopening is based on individual vaccination status rather than percentage of population, or on number of cases

I also do not understand wearing masks alone outside, or how camping could be a risk (provided reasonable allowances for any indoor structures). I don’t understand how wearing a mask is a badge of honour for some, but also don’t understand how others get offended if I choose to occasionally still wear a mask (seems to really help my allergies on bad pollen days)

I don’t understand so very much.

But I do understand that this site is a great place to put everything else aside and discuss the one thing we can all agree that we love - camping

Well...Me and Mark are good...I don't hold grudges on any forum members.
I can't speak for anyone else.
It has been a good thread for the most part... But yes it is way past it's shelf life.
Everyone on here are still my camping brothers and sisters even if we disagree.
