An hour from Montreal area (traffic pending of course) on the Quebec/Ontario boarder along the Ottawa River. Its a big park consisting of 3 separate campgrounds. Champlain: families with 'ok' privacy but many with electrical. Iroquois: it is a lot of partiers and the nights get loud on weekends with city kids. Not many electrical. Avoid if you want a quiet stay. Portage: Very private sites but drainage in many poor in heavy rain. Close to boat launch. We just spent the summer there on a seasonal site and enjoyed it. The seasonal site rate is pricey, if not expensive but it was secure and quiet.
The only thing about it I can warn anyone is the storms that blow through are down right nasty and without warning at times...the worst I've ever experienced. Other than that, great for extended or weekend stays.
