My buddy Coco. Likes going places and doing stuff, hates the car ride to get there.
Here's my Lil "Ankle Biter" Jake. VERY kid/people/animal friendly. Loves riding shotgun, his heated seat in the winter and camp driveway with the grandkids but far to vocal to take camping unfortunately....he's the protector of the realm and he knows it....lol
Gladecreekwy...is that "first dog" your own "protector of the realm"?...lol
10 yr old Barney is a camping pro, Bella is just learning. her first trip was the week after i adopted her in November, this is her second trip.
i have to get a stronger buckle, she BROKE the clip chasing after another dog. ( she wants to play, but doesnt realize how big she is)

Ol' Rosco has been with us for about six years, since he was about a year old. We only started taking him camping with us last year. DW's mother lives with us and has no interest in camping so Roscoe always stayed home with her.
But last year she had some medical issues and could no longer stay by herself. So when we camp, MIL goes to a relative and Rosco goes with us.
I think he likes camping more than DW and me. He'll sit in the truck for an hour before we leave to be sure he doesn't get left behind. At the campsite, he loves to hang out enjoying the fresh air and do nothing other than try to run down an ocassional squirrel.
We had hoped to camp this weekend but a wet forecast made us to nervous. (Whimpy?) Nonetheless, us and the mutts were out working on trails today and here is proof.... We'll get many more on the dogs blogs shortly. The last one is the junior mutt visiting the neighbor ski gal when we got home. This house is rented by members of Michigan Tech ski team.(XC) Maybe I should add that we train and socialize our dogs very, very much.
This is the best thread ever. I looked at every single post from the beginning. Love love love.
Here are my camping buddies.
This is Marley, Mya and Moe. We camped the last 3 weekends in a row. They are learning so quickly! I’m such a proud mama.
Here is our Ruby Lynn. Shes my fur baby, This summer will be her first trip out with us though she loves to sleep in the camper when its parked at home in the yard
Rocky my almost 3 year old black lab, unfortunately the older he gets the more vocal he becomes but we’ve made improvements the last couple times out. He’s still a big friendly goofball but he has to make sure everyone knows he’s keeping his boys safe. When my kids, almost 2 and almost 4, aren’t around he doesn’t care who is walking by he’s quiet.
Introducing our boys JoJo(the fluffy one) and Lucky (the Chihuahua) believe it or not father and son.
Lucky's show dog Chihuahua mum wasn't looking when JoJo stopped by
They are both good natured but very vocal which means we may be restricted to the garden for camping out.
Peeps the Dalmatian boxer mix..he is the smart one, obedient and a gentleman...Emma..mix pit/lab...heart of gold but dumb as a rock, and runs like a rhino...you never just stand in her path..for some reason she doesn't seem to understand she weighs 70lbs..but it breaks her heart to scold her...
Found little Henri for the DW back in early spring, son went in the Army a couple years ago & the wife struggled dealing w/ an empty nest/deployment, & the rascal has helped keep her busy...he goes everywhere we go, loves being outside, & loves his mamasan lol...
It was a warm weekend....
The girls. Zoozoo, pwincess, bunda.
Not the greatest picture. The fluffy one is my 15 yo pom/sheltie mix. He absolutely loves camping. He can't hike anymore but he loves walking around the camp loop. The big brown dog is actually my foster dog, Coco. 1 yr old shepherd/terrier mix. This was her very first camping trip and she did fantastic. Normally my foster dogs have to stay with a sitter but Coco got lucky.
