Thanks for posting Cgribbits. We'll add a few recent ones but many more are on the dogs blog.
My 1 1/2 yo Aussie mix is deaf and goes almost everywhere with me. He does great camping. If he gets overwhelmed or tired he kennels himself. We just upgraded from tent camping this past month.
New to the forum and am hoping it's ok to bump an old thread (but let me know if it's not!). I could look at your dog pics all day! They make the best hiking/camping buddies. I am currently dogless, as my ex kept our pittie in our divorce (to be fair, she was his dog before we met), but these were my two best hiking and camping pals in my 20's and early 30's. My Lab mix passed in 2010 and the fluffier dog on the right passed in 2015. They were both the best dogs ever. I'll likely get another dog when my son is a bit older; it's weird being without.
Gorgeous setting, happy dog.
Nice to have you here with us librarian. There are many dog friendly people here and our muts have there own blog. Here is a photo from it.
Quincy says hi .....
Dogs with blogs are the best! A million years ago, in 2005-ish, there was a wonderful forum called Dogster. I was pretty active on there for a few years and my dog Charlotte, the one on the left in the pic I posted, had a pretty widely read diary. It was super nerdy and so much fun! Thanks for the warm welcome.
Our dogs blog is 9/10's photos with very little narrative. We started it about 12 years ago when the black dog Gromit was a puppy and we wanted to show that if you trained your mutt, you could take them everywhere with you. Now she's elderly .... Nonetheless, the blog has been viewed 100,000 times.
Count me as one of them! Thanks for sharing.

Here's Tinker, adopted in February of this year. He's going to have his first camping experience this weekend.
here is more mutt photos. Dogs do need to get out and run lots. Middle one is on the shore of da BIG lake.
This thread is as bump-able as Loretta’s!
I lost both Moose-dog and Bat-dog last month. Still hurts to think about them. While Bat-dog had issues, she loved camping and going places and behaved to her best ability. Moose-dog was just a sweetheart.
These are their tourist photos.
I just adopted a new dog. She was on the streets and attacked by another dog, so she is very nervous outdoors. But she loves her cats and bird, so I am confident that she will adjust to camping. I do ask please that folks keep their dogs on a leash where required - it's very traumatic for her to have a dog run up to her, no matter how friendly.
The new bird is also preparing for camping...
And The Twoony (they're two loonies) are pros...
P.S. The bird and new dog are still deciding on their screen names.
Here is a few more and hope any of you join us camping soon. The dogs and me, do love those kids!
I can't stay away from this thread. I don't have much else to offer the board yet but I'm always here for dog-picture sharing.
We've got more... Mutts playing the social game. The little blonde girls are my nieces. In the 4th, who knew that Saudi girls loved dogs so much.
This is my pupper Willow. She's a great camping companion and my best friend!
