Quinn enjoying a seat at the fire too
I love it @Kate A! Reminded me of an oldie:
Leroy Browne’s adoption day pic. He’s been a very good dog today. The cat has been an absolute jerk-face, I’m so sad. They’ll stay in separate rooms tomorrow when I’m at work and I’m really hoping she comes around.
He looks very happy to come home.
Give them some time. When I brought Cat-dog home, The Twoony wanted nothing to do with her. They hid for over a week. Now she and The Cat are best buds...
The Cat in Training is no longer afraid of her, but isn't as thrilled as The Cat. Cat-dog gets in his way.
The Twoony do have their own room. I put up a baby gate w/a cat door in it. It gives them a safe place, but lets Cat-dog see them (she got worried that they would make a sneak attack on her).
Funny thing, most days I have to let The Twoony out on the porch on their tethers. Otherwise, The Cat makes his escape and won't come back in. Every time I let them out, Cat-dog is nervous. She's very worried that they will get attacked. She watches them until they come back in - then she can relax.
Leroy looks like one very happy pooch!
Pebbles the Camping /fishing buddy. Loves to camp especially with Dad, she sleeps on the bed with me, eats what I eat (no dog food here) loves her harness and loves to walk in the CG and strut her stuff, never barks or growls at other animals
and makes friends with everyone at the CG also loves having her picture taken.
Here is a few more for you guys. Taken at "yard church" on Sunday. More are on the dogs blog..
This is a pic of Daisy (labradoodle) and our first trip in the pop-up last year...
Photos taken this past weekend. Bottoms ones I call, "after the swim" roll.
I just adopted a second camping dog , Trinity (small black and white dachshund mix) she and Coco (tall brown shepherd mix) are doing great on our first trial camping trip together. Only planned a single night to see how she does and turns out she is a natural.
Congrats! She looks like she's going to be a great camping dog. Looks like she's got beagle.
If you're interested, I had Moose-dog's and Bat-dog's dna tested through dnamydog.com. Found it very illuminating and worth the cost.
Moose-dog was shepherd, poodle and newfie. Bat-dog was shepherd, beagle, chow, sharpei, corgi, boxer and german shorthair. I had guessed all but the shorthair with Bat-dog. Moose-dog was a surprise. As a puppy, he and his siblings were thought to be shepherd rotties. When he grew up, I thought mostly shepherd and dobie. The dobie build was actually poodle. The newfie explained the white stripe down his chest.
It did really help to understand their behaviors and needs.
First night in RV
. Looks like they settled in nicely.
Josie is 12 and is now a seasoned camping dog, her first birthday was celebrated while tent camping. She really loves the bed in the PUP.
This was new fur kid Tinker's first year of camping.
He's 8-9 yrs old, and was quite anxious during the first trip, better the second one, and is now pretty good with it as long as he knows where we are!
Here is Bazinga @ Davis Mtns. State Park. Got this trip in during June be for the heat got too bad.
Our silver lab Jack in his favorite spot in the pup and a random “stick” he found while hiking.
