    There is a POSITIVE to us being campers with TV's. It's all about the TIRE. Most of us have tires with a 60-75 series aspect ratio. That's the percentage of the tread with that is the sidewall height. The bigger the middle number in the tire size.
    It's the folks who are flashing their $$$ cars, with their 50>35 series tires. Those tires cant protect the wheels from the potholes. So they get the billl for a new tire AND a repaired wheel. OUCH!!!!.
    If you're the victim of "ASPHALT ACNE," and suffer damage to your tire or a VIOLENT whack therefrom, PLEASE, PLEASE find a good shop and get your alignment checked.

    If you're taking your PUP out early, PLEASE drive with EXTRA caution. Those little tires aren't up to the beating a bad canyon can dish out.

    Don't be afraid to make the investment in adding a spare spare to your equipment list. Money well spent with piece of mind as a sidekick.

    YES, I'm in the tire business, and YES, I want everyone to participate oin capitalism, but this is a industry plug, not a company or brand

    Wishing all a SAFE & incident free camping year.

    I had to have my van realigned a couple weeks ago. Even the main highways are bad. I'm pretty sure I have a cord starting to now too.

    @Tombasi, No insult intended
    We can thank the engineers. Car AND Pavement
    My shop sees these low profile tires on the Beemers and MB's and such.

    Some stupid tuner cartoonists keeps thinking massive rims make the cats look and handle good.
    If they ever drive in PA they would think other wise. or VAs lovely concrete clover leafs with the expansion joints ruining and angles to the direction of travel.

    The pot holes are the worst I've ever seen in MN. Can't wait for winter to be over.

    Potholes? Oh, you mean the road ponds that are appearing! Yeah, they're everywhere this year - even newly paved/topped roads.

    Years ago I had a small Mitsubishi pickup truck. I was rolling along in the pre-dawn hours and saw a long rectangular puddle across my path in the paved road in front of me. I hit it, only to find out it was a water filled pothole. Not only did it pop both front tires, it knocked out both of my headlights.

    I was late to work that day.....

    There is one stretch on my commute that has been really bad this year. You can tell who are the people who drive it every day, we have learned where we need to zig and where to zag, the non-regulars just go crashing through. We are leaving on our first trip of the year in a couple days, hopefully we don't have any problems.

    Jeepin Dad, I don't know if you have been on 81 S. below Pine Grove lately, but we have farm roads up here that are smoother than that. Looking forward to all the construction zones this summer though. [LOL] [LOL]

    We have 3 road choices here - bad, worse, and awful.
