We've been talking about getting a new camper for a while.....saw one at rv show last winter that we LOVED!! BUT we didn't love the idea of adding the monthly payments.... We were on vacation last week and on Wednesday drove to RV shop "just to look".....well, they had the one we wanted (a 2013 Flagstaff HW27KS). It's a high wall pop-up with all the bells and whistles... (slide out dining area, power roof, hardwall shower, 2 bowl sink, stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer inside; slide out sink/stove, shower, outside rvq grill outside); outside access to storage areas..... Before we left, we verbally purchased it! Came home and unloaded everything out of our 2001 Coleman Santa Fe--about 1/3 of which would go into new camper....lol....(Who packed ALL THAT STUFF in that little pup??? LOL!!) as we were going to trade it as a downpayment on the new one. Just for fun I posted a pic of the old one on Facebook Thursday morning and put "for sale" . As I cleaned the inside, I posted a few more pics....Had 3 people inquiring about it throughout the day....about 6:30 that evening I posted that if we didn't sell it by noon Friday, we were going to trade it. It was gone by 8pm Thursday night....for $500 more than what we would have gotten on trade! Went back to RV Store Friday afternoon and had new pup home by 6pm (After a very thorough walk-thru on features, set-up, tear down, etc.); Have to take it back this week to have a few things fixed--the toilet leaked across the floor (kept seeping out from under the wall of the shower) HOPING there's not any other damage besides to the bottom wall panel--it took some of the finish off.... This should be the last camper we'll ever be purchasing!! Looking forward to lots of fun adventures!! Beth
Congrats!! I know you'll love all those bells and whistles, such as the high wall, slide out, shower etc. etc. I didn't think I needed all that "jazz" but after having it on my PUP I absolutely love it, it's like staying in a suite compared to the old 94 rockwood PUP. So enjoy the "new smell" and happy camping!! Kypopup
congrats. I think a new high wall PUP is next for us, but still a long way away. Maybe I can try the "Hey honey, lets just go look," approach and see if it works.
Congrats on your new High Wall. We currently also have a High Wall popup with slide, ect. and our previous pup was a 10ft Jayco 1006 with no slide out. We were also amazed at all the stuff we pulled out of the Jayco to put in our new Niagara, I couldn't believe we had all that stuff in there. lol
WOW. What a nice pup. The DW and I own the Jayko 141j HW. We love all the space, the double sinks, indoor and out door showers, king beds...the list go on and on...I know you are going to have years of fun. One recommendation. Buy a trailer dolly (northern equipment sells them). It's a heavy camper and moving it round the garage is much easier on a dolly. Have fun, hope to see you in one of our (Minnesota's) fine campgrounds.
Nice, it appears you have top down access to the fridge. The only reason why I would trade out of my jayco 141j
That is one nice trailer!! I would love to have one of those High Walls, but for now we have to make due with our Palomino.
