I am looking to buy an old pop-up for almost nothing and strip it down to chassy.
Assuming it is a 1200 lbs 12 ft Lionel for example, if I strip everything off it, how much will the chassy weigh at the end?
I am not looking for exact numbers just an idea.
Do not provide smart ass answers like why strip it when you can rebuild, I am not interested to fix a piece of junk.

The word you're looking for is "chassis"; I'm not trying to be smart-ass; just trying to help out.

What are you planning to use the chassis for? Most pop up frames, especially the current lightweight types, are minimal.

Tongue, frame rails, axle, springs, and wheels/tires.....probably well less than 300 lbs.
